Orthopedic Surgery

Orthopedic Surgery

Orthopedic surgery focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions affecting your pet’s bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles to restore comfort and mobility. Whether your companion is facing a traumatic injury, a congenital condition, or age-related joint disease, orthopedic procedures can significantly improve quality of life by reducing pain and restoring function.

Our Orthopedic Services

Caring Animal Hospital now offers a variety of orthopedic procedures, including tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO) for the treatment of cranial cruciate ligament (ACL) disease in dogs, trochlear groove deepening and tibial tuberosity transposition for patellar (kneecap) luxation, limb amputation, femoral head and neck ostectomy (FHO), and select fracture fixation procedures.

Compassionate Care You Can Trust

When your pet is struggling with pain or limited mobility, it can be heartbreaking to watch them slow down. With state-of-the-art surgical techniques and the compassionate care of our experienced veterinary team, we are dedicated to enhancing your pet’s quality of life—helping them return to the playful, active moments you cherish.

Casey, our Head Technician, and Dr. Hailee Cotter have completed advanced, specialized training at Colorado State University’s prestigious Translational Medicine Institute, receiving instruction in fracture repair and TPLO surgery from leading board-certified orthopedic surgeons. This advanced training allows us to deliver a higher caliber of orthopedic care to our patients right here at home.

Personalized Treatment & Recovery Support

We provide advanced orthopedic care for conditions such as cruciate ligament injuries, fractures, patellar luxation, joint abnormalities, hip conditions, and more. Using modern surgical techniques, thorough pre-surgical planning, and attentive post-operative care, we focus on safe healing and a smooth recovery. We work closely with pet owners at every step—clearly explaining options, answering questions, and creating individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and alleviate pain.

Specialty Referral When Needed

While our advanced orthopedic services expand the level of care we can provide in-house, they are not a replacement for consultation with a board-certified surgeon. When appropriate, we are always happy to discuss referral options to ensure the best possible outcome for your pet.
