Caring Animal Hospital Commissions Local Artist to Create Welcoming, Community-Focused Mural
Holt, MI — 6/4/2025 – In a heartwarming celebration of community, creativity, and compassion, Caring Animal Hospital is proud to unveil a newly commissioned mural created by local artist Lisabeth Curnow. Chosen from a group of five talented local artists, Curnow’s design now graces the wall behind the hospital’s reception counter—an artistic tribute to the powerful bond between people and their pets.
As part of the hospital’s broader community outreach efforts, this project was designed to make the clinic more welcoming and representative of the love and care that defines veterinary medicine. Each artist was invited to propose a mural that would reflect the spirit of the hospital. After thoughtful consideration, Curnow’s vision—both heartfelt and visually striking—was selected to become a permanent part of the hospital’s space.
“We want the mural to reflect the heart of our work—healing and caring for pets who are family,” said Dr. Bethany Steele, of Caring Animal Hospital, who led the artist selection process. “This was a chance for local artists to share their creativity and contribute to a space that serves so many in our community.”
The mural serves as more than just decoration—it’s a statement. A celebration of the human-animal bond, it underscores the hospital’s mission of compassionate care while shining a spotlight on local artistic talent.
