Caring Animal Hospital is pleased to formally welcome and introduce our new associate veterinarian, Dr. Hailee Cotter! Dr. Cotter is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has advanced training in her special interests, which include surgery, treatment of exotic species (birds, reptiles, and small mammals), and alternative medicine, such as acupuncture and herbals. Formal certification in the therapies of small animal acupuncture and the adjunctive use of herbals was obtained through the Chi Institute of Reddick, Florida.
Dr. Cotter will be available for appointments Tuesday-Friday. For your convenience, she will be seeing late appointments on Thursdays (with the last appointment beginning at 7:00pm). At Caring Animal Hospital, we believe it is important to schedule appointments for a minimum of 30 minutes per patient in order to provide your pet with the individualized attention and thorough care it needs. We also utilize this valuable time to discuss and educate you on what is going on with your pet, prognosis, treatment options, etc. without you needing to feel rushed. That way you can be more confident that you fully understand the whats, whys, and hows, and are able to make the best decisions for your pet.
Our state-of-the-art facilities allow us to offer you a wide variety of advanced diagnostics including on-site/same day blood work results, ultrasonography, digital dental x-ray, and digital full body radiography. We also offer laser therapy, which can promote control of acute and chronic pain and inflammation, in addition to numerous other beneficial uses. Coupled with Dr. Cotter’s unique ability to perform acupuncture and prescribe herbal medicines, we have the ability to achieve all possible forms of non-invasive pain control at Caring Animal Hospital. These treatment options may be used for pets who do not fully respond to more traditional medicine, those who have ailments (such as liver failure) that may contraindicate traditional medicine, those interested in the holistic benefits of alternative medicine, or for clients who just want to mitigate the medications they give to their pets and use traditional and non-traditional therapies adjunctively. Advantages to this form of medicine involve preventing the various complications and side effects associated with traditional western medical therapies.
We are delighted to offer the highest quality medicine and most up to date techniques available exclusively to our clients. We are confident that with these expanded modalities we can provide more options, ultimately contributing to a longer, happier life for your pets.
Many of our long-term clients may remember Dr. Cotter as she worked for us 5 years ago as an assistant, before going to veterinary school. She is aware of the Standard of Veterinary Care we provide at Caring Animal Hospital and is excited to add her unique touch to our hospital. Please help us in giving a very warm welcome to Dr. Cotter!
